This is Lyons fourth summer here at the Ridgeville Farmers’ Market. They are a third generation family fruit farm located just outside Southaven, Michigan. Their wide selection of fruit offerings make them a one-stop shop for all your summer picnics. After you’ve tasted their sweet cherries, it’s hard to buy anything else!
Amber Gribben, Urban Worm Girl
Urban Worm Girl’s calling is to educate the community on composting with worms, also known as vermiculture. Basically, it’s recycling kitchen waste using the wisdom and efficiency of Red Worms — simple, clean and odorless. Whether it’s in your house or apartment, worm composting is a reminder of our interconnectedness to the earth and all of its living beings.
LEILA LOVE
Leila Love is making its first appearance at the Ridgeville Farmers’ Market as they try to introduce themselves to the Chicagoland area. They feature an olive-pomegranate spread that makes the perfect companion to fresh vegetables and warm pita bread.
Songbird Coffee Roasters
Garrett Derner and Lisa Gordon have returned to the Ridgeville Market this year after last year’s success at turning Market patrons on to their locally roasted coffees from around the world. Garrett and Lisa get there coffee from small farms and co-ops and, whenever possible, seek out organic coffee beans and farmers that have been adequately compensated.
Crafthouse Market Goods
Crafthouse Market Goods offers artisanal prepared foods such as fresh pastas and handcrafted sausages, as well as hand–cut steaks and chops. Their raw ingredients are supplied exclusively by small production, family run, regional farms.
HighRise Baking Company
HighRise Baking Company is a family owned company with years of culinary experience. Their bakers handcraft artisan breads & sweets using old family recipes that were brought back from Europe. They use high quality all natural ingredients and refrain from putting preservative in any of their baked goods.
