Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement

classes are open to adult students of all ages

and ability. Feldenkrais easy movements let

the students notice their unique patterns of

movement, allowing them to develop more

We use props like blocks, chairs, blankets

and belts to facilitate ease and depth of

stretching, strengthening and range of

motion. You will receive careful, individualized

adjustment. Class is open to all who

see themselves as older adults.

Five Animal Frolics is an ancient Chinese

Qigong practice based on Chuang-tzu’s

Taoist practice and traditional Chinese

medical philosophy. The exercises model

movements from 5 animals: the Tiger,

for kidney and muscular health; the Deer

for grace, flexibility and lower back; the

Bear for groundedness, bones and leg

strength: the Monkey for mental alertness

and heart; and the Crane for lungs, and

spine.

work of the actor through the Mime Company’s

unique process of creating physical

theater. Hone your physical skills, have fun

exploring gesture and creative expression,

and move and be moved by the stories you

and your classmates will create as actors

and playwrights in the art of mime.

Get out of your head and into your body

in this class for actors based on the Mime

Company’s own process of creating original

work for the stage. Discover the power of

the actor’s basic tool, the body, to create astonishing

theatrical illusion in performance.

Cultivate your skills of physical precision

and tackle the challenge of the playwright

to create and express plays in mime devised by the class ensemble.
