Dear Ridgeville Residents:
I am pleased to announce that I
have recently been appointed Programs Director of Ridgeville Park District. As
some of you might remember, my time with Ridgeville actually began nine years ago when I began working as a camp counselor
for the Spring Holiday camp. I had such a positive experience working here that
I returned year after year to direct numerous camps and teach summer classes on long-form improvisation. Some of my fondest memories, which some residents might recall, include co-writing and directing numerous
plays with my friend, Andrew Biliter, that were performed at the end of the Arts Camp sessions. Memorable titles include: Alice in Wonderland, It’s a Buggy-Bug World, Adventures in Fairy Tale Land,
They Came From Space, and It’s About Time.
My appointment comes at an exciting
time here at Ridgeville as we begin our 71st year as a fixture in the Evanston community. I continue to be amazed that despite its incredible history, Ridgeville remains one of Evanston’s
best-kept secrets. Since 1939, Ridgeville Park District has existed as a private,
non-profit, governmental taxing body dedicated to serving the needs of the Ridgeville neighborhood. For years, Ridgeville has provided its residents, as well as those in the surrounding area, with affordable
classes and camps for various age ranges throughout the year. This summer, marks
our fourth straight year of hosting a Farmers’ Market, and we are looking forward to a great turnout!
I am eager to hear feedback
from the community about what classes you enjoy as well classes you would like to see offered.
Please don’t hesitate to stop in and introduce yourself whenever is convenient.
My schedule fluctuates week to week so feel free to email if you want to set up a fixed time to meet.
I look forward to hearing from
you.
